2004 to re-invent the role of the arts in the university and
the university's role in the arts. This effort spans the campus
and the city, unconstrained by venue, department, field, or
program, and reaches out into a diverse international culture.

of every Columbia student's education and to promote a life-long

Participants will have the chance to meet and greet ABT Soloist
Maria Riccetto, who performs the role of the “Lilac
Fairy” in THE SLEEPING BEAUTY. Use your $25

A CLEARING IN THE FOREST:
“The Dream” Ballet Workshop, FREE! Ages 4-12

Enjoy the magic of Central Park with this special ABT workshop
on The Dream, a part of the Central Park Conservancy's
“A Clearing in the Forest” series on the Great
Hill (enter the Park at West 106th Street and Central Park
West). Teaching artists from ABT will share the beauty of
dance amidst of the natural beauty of the Park! Explore The
Dream, choreographer Sir Frederick Ashton’s one-act
ballet based on Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s
Dream, through specially-designed storytelling, craft
activities, and basic ballet instruction. No dance experience
necessary – just bring comfortable shoes, a bottle of
water, and good humor!

Grand Tier Restaurant
at the Metropolitan Opera House
An evening at The Grand Tier Restaurant for pre-curtain or
intermission dining is truly an experience to treasure forever!
Executive Chef Jeff Raider serves market-fresh contemporary
American dishes with seasonal classics. This year, the restaurant
is offering its popular 3-course, $42 prix fixe dinner menu
along with an $18 menu for children. As a complement to its
regular dessert menu, The Grand Tier Restaurant pays tribute
to the Spring’s season’s ballets by offering a
selection of unique ballet-themed desserts inspired by the
countries of origin for each ballet. In addition, The Grand
Tier Restaurant accompanies this season’s performances
of Don Quixote by offering a 3-course “Don
Quixote Prix Fixe Dinner” menu, featuring signature
dishes of Spanish heritage. The adult and children’s
menu will be offered during the scheduled performances, from
