American Ballet Theatre and Build-A-Bear Workshop® invite you to enter the magical fantasy of ABT’s ballet THE SLEEPING BEAUTY!
Participants will have the chance to meet and greet ABT Soloist Maria Riccetto, who performs the role of the “Lilac Fairy” in THE SLEEPING BEAUTY. Use your $25 event gift card to costume your very own ballet bear in a tutu, complete with pink ballet slippers, or as a “Rainbow Fairy,” ready to go on stage with ABT at the Met!

This is a wonderful opportunity for young dancers to hear first-hand from an artist with America’s National Ballet Company®. She’ll share inspiring stories about her dance experiences, discuss what it’s like to be a professional dancer, and sign autographs! A CLEARING IN THE FOREST:

Enjoy the magic of Central Park with this special ABT workshop on The Dream, a part of the Central Park Conservancy's “A Clearing in the Forest” series on the Great Hill (enter the Park at West 106th Street and Central Park West). Teaching artists from ABT will share the beauty of dance amidst of the natural beauty of the Park! Explore The Dream, choreographer Sir Frederick Ashton’s one-act ballet based on Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, through specially-designed storytelling, craft activities, and basic ballet instruction. No dance experience necessary – just bring comfortable shoes, a bottle of water, and good humor!

Grand TierThe Grand Tier Restaurant
at the Metropolitan Opera House


An evening at The Grand Tier Restaurant for pre-curtain or intermission dining is truly an experience to treasure forever! Executive Chef Jeff Raider serves market-fresh contemporary American dishes with seasonal classics. This year, the restaurant is offering its popular 3-course, $42 prix fixe dinner menu along with an $18 menu for children. As a complement to its regular dessert menu, The Grand Tier Restaurant pays tribute to the Spring’s season’s ballets by offering a selection of unique ballet-themed desserts inspired by the countries of origin for each ballet. In addition, The Grand Tier Restaurant accompanies this season’s performances of Don Quixote by offering a 3-course “Don Quixote Prix Fixe Dinner” menu, featuring signature dishes of Spanish heritage. The adult and children’s menu will be offered during the scheduled performances, from May 28th – June 3rd.

Pre-ordered intermission dining is available to ensure a quick return to the performance, along with pre-curtain dining and brunch on weekends. The Grand Tier Restaurant is open two hours prior to curtain to all Lincoln Center ticket-holders.

Join ABT II Artistic Director Wes Chapman and dancers from ABT II as they explore the past, present, and future of ABT, with a sneak peak of what’s in store for the 70th Anniversary Spring Season at the Met.

Celebrate the opening of the Met Season with a fun-filled romp through the fantastical adventures of the lovable DON QUIXOTE.
