Lily Wisdom was born in Boston, Massachusetts and began her ballet studies at the age of four at Boston Ballet School. She was taught by Margaret Tracey, Kathleen Mitchell, Christopher Hird, Andre Reyes, Tamara King, and Christopher Anderson. Wisdom was awarded a named scholarship in honor of Deirdre Miles Burger in 2010.
Wisdom has danced children's roles in Coppélia, The Nutcracker, The Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, and La Sylphide. At 13, she was chosen to dance the role of Clara in The Nutcracker with Boston Ballet. She also has danced corps positions of Sugar Plum Attendant and Shepherdess in The Nutcracker, Scherzo a la Russe by George Balanchine and Konservatoriet by August Bournonville. She has performed Little Red Riding Hood from The Sleeping Beauty in Boston Ballet's Spring Showcase.
In 2008, Wisdom attended American Ballet Theatre's Summer Intensive where she was a National Training Scholar since 2009 and a Bender Foundation Scholar since 2010. Wisdom joined the ABT Studio Company in 2011, the main Company as an apprentice in October 2011 and became a member of the corps de ballet in July 2012. Her repertoire includes Red Riding Hood in The Sleeping Beauty and roles in After You, Company B and in all of the Company's full-length ballets.
