Born and raised in Darien, Illinois, Anne Milewski studied ballet at the Midwest Academy
in Downers Grove under the direction of Mim Eichmann. She also studied at the Ruth Page Academy in Chicago.
Milewski moved to New York to study at the School of American Ballet as a full scholarship student. Her teachers were Stanley Williams, Suki Schorer, Susan Pilarre and Antonia Tumkovsky. At the SAB workshop performances Milewski performed leads in ballets such as Le Source and Napoli, as well as creating roles for Christopher Wheeldon and Nilas Martins in the school’s New Choreography Workshop (1995).
Milewski joined American Ballet Theatre as an apprentice in January 1996, and in August of that same year she became a member of the corps de ballet. Her repertoire with the Company includes a Lead D’Jampe in La Bayadère, Amour in Don Quixote, the Nocturne in Fall River Legend, Clara in The Nutcracker, roles in Airs, Company B, Sechs Tänze, the Italian Princess in Swan Lake, as well as roles in all of the Company’s full-length ballets.
