A ballet for fourteen dancers plus an ensemble, Meadow received
its World Premiere by American Ballet Theatre at City Center, New York
on October 22, 1999, the leading roles danced by Sandra Brown and Keith
Roberts.
The music for this ballet is: Die Nacht by Franz Schubert, around
which William Brohn has written a piece called Pentimento which
is a tissue of string effects to precede and accompany the Schubert
piece; Gavin Bryars Incipit Vita Nova, and Ferruccio Busonis
Berceuse Élégiaque.
