My Funny Valentine was given its American Ballet Theatre Company Premiere at City Center, New York on October 23, 2001, danced by Marcelo Gomes and Sandra Brown.

My Funny Valentine, with lyrics by Lorenz Hart, was part of the score for the 1937 musical Babes in Arms and was sung by a then 16-year-old Mitzi Green.
