Gerard Charles was born in
Folkestone, England and trained at the Royal Ballet School in London.
He danced professionally in Europe and North America and, since retiring
from the stage, has served as Ballet Master for BalletMet and Les Grands
Ballets Canadiens. He has been fortunate enough to work with James Kudelka
on several of his creations and to stage his works for numerous companies
around the world. Gerard Charles has been the Artistic Director of BalletMet
since 2001. |
