Theoni V. Aldredge has designed more
than 150 Broadway shows and numerous
Off-Broadway productions. For her work in
the theatre, she has received Tony Awards
for her work on Annie,
Barnum and La Cage aux
Folles, and various Drama Desk,
Variety Drama Critics and Maharam
Awards.
She has designed for television specials,
films, opera and ballet. For her work in
The Great Gatsby she won an
Academy Award and the British Society of
Films and Television Arts Award for Best
Costumes.
In 1990, Miss Aldredge was inducted into
the Theatre Hall of Fame in the Gershwin
Theatre in New
