BIOGRAPHY
Natasha Katz has worked extensively in the worlds of Broadway, opera, and ballet. Katz was nominated for a Tony Award in 1994 for her work on Beauty and the Beast. Her other Broadway work includes the designs for Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me, My Fair Lady, Shogun, Gypsy, Aren’t We All?, Breaking the Code, and Pack of Lies.

Katz also designed Die Soldaten for the New York City Opera, two productions of Norma for Joan Sutherland: the Opera Pacific in Costa Mesa, California, and the Michigan Opera Theatre in Detroit, Michigan, and the original production of The Normal Heart at the New York Shakespeare Festival. She has designed the lighting for the HBO Television specials Mambo Mouth and Side-O-Rama.

The lighting for this new production of Petrouchka is Katz’s fourth work for American Ballet Theatre since Dim Lustre (2001), Don Quixote (1995) and Peter and the Wolf (1992).
