National Audition Tour

REGISTRATION WILL BEGIN ONE HOUR PRIOR TO THE CLASS FOR YOUR AGE GROUP. ADDITIONAL CLASSES WILL BE HELD IF THERE IS AN OVERFLOW FROM EARLIER CLASSES.

Audition Information:
Auditions are open to all male and female students who have achieved intermediate or advanced levels of ballet training. Applicants for all Summer Intensives must be at least age 11 by their audition date and no older than 22 on June 24, 2013. Applicants over age 18 will be considered for the New York Intensive only. Collegiate Summer Intensive applicants must be between the ages of 17 and 24, and Young Dancer Summer Workshop applicants must be ages 9-11 or 12 year olds beginning pointe. Dancers exclusively interested in the Young Dancer Summer Workshop, audition at starred sites only. Dancers ages 11 and 12 who wish to be considered for both the Young Dancer Summer Workshop and the main Summer Intensive sites are required to attend the Summer Intensive audition class for ages 11 and up. Applicants must pay a $35.00 registration fee (check or money order payable to ABT or cash for in-person auditions only), submit one informal headshot (does not need to be professional), and a photograph showing first arabesque in center in order to register. Photographs will not be returned. Girls must wear full-length pink tights and black leotards with ballet slippers. Bring pointe shoes for the last twenty minutes of class. Boys must wear white t-shirts, full-length black tights and ballet slippers. Auditioning at any site will allow you to be considered for all Summer Intensive Programs and merit-based scholarships. Students may only audition once each year. Pre-registration is suggested but not required.
