Born in Dallas, Texas, Courtlyn Hanson began her training at the age of three at the Ballet Academy of Texas under the direction of Lisa Sagle. She spent four summers at ABT’s New York Summer Intensive, and received a National Training Scholarship in 2012.

Hanson competed in the Youth America Grand Prix-finals beginning in 2010 where she consecutively placed in the top three of the classical division. In 2012 and 2013, Hanson advanced to the YAGP New York City Finals. She joined the ABT Studio Company in 2013.

Hanson was awarded the Gloria Ziaks/Caryn Halpern Ballet Scholarship, the Fred Kelly Scholarship and the Natalia Skelton Tutu Memorial Scholarship through the Dance Council of North Texas. Her repertory with the ABT Studio Company includes roles in Continuo, Great Galloping Gottschalk and Larry Keigwin’s Studio.

She joined American Ballet Theatre as an apprentice in 2014 and became a member of the corps de ballet in June 2015.  Her repertoire includes a little swan in Swan Lake, as well as roles in all of the Company’s full-length ballets.

Repertoire
