From September 1 - October 25, 2010, American Ballet Theatre invited
young artists, ages 4-17, to design a T-shirt inspired by ABT’s
World Premiere production of The Nutcracker, choreographed
by Alexei Ratmansky, performing at the Brooklyn Academy of Music,
BAM Howard Gilman Opera House, from December 22, 2010 - January
2, 2011. Eligible designs were reviewed by a panel of ABT staff,
and were judged on creativity, originality, artistic quality and
the clarity with which the theme was conveyed.
ABT is now proud to announce the winners of The Nutcracker
T-shirt Design Contest:

Congratulations to all the finalists and thank you to all the young

The first prize-winning design will be printed as an official ABT
T-shirt and sold at the Company’s merchandise boutique at
the Brooklyn Academy of Music. The winning student artist will receive
a gift basket of ABT merchandise, valued at $250, including a collectible
Madame Alexander “Clara with Nutcracker” doll and autographed
pointe shoes.
