On Saturday, November 10, bring your children to enjoy the
Brooklyn Botanic Garden and a special workshop on American
Ballet Theatre’s The Nutcracker, which returns
to BAM in Brooklyn this holiday season! A teaching artist
from ABT will share the beauty of dance amidst the natural
beauty of the Garden. Explore the world of The Nutcracker,
including magical waltzing flowers and busy bumble bees, through
basic ballet instruction and explore flowering plants with
Brooklyn Botanic Garden educators. No dance experience necessary
– just bring comfortable shoes and good humor! Dance
attire is also welcome.
Event is for ages 5-12.
Preregistration is required, as space is limited.

Magical toy soldiers, sparkling snowflakes, mischievous mice,
and all the enchanting inhabitants of E.T.A. Hoffmann’s
whimsical world return to BAM for the winter holidays in American
Ballet Theatre’s acclaimed production of The Nutcracker,
choreographed by ABT Artist in Residence Alexei Ratmansky.
Performed with a live orchestra, together with extraordinary
sets and costumes by Tony Award-winner Richard Hudson (The
Lion King), The Nutcracker is bound to be a
