American Ballet Theatre, New York Water Taxi and NYC’s South Street Seaport join together this Fall to celebrate the 70th Anniversary Celebration of Agnes de Mille’s landmark ballet Rodeo. With its World Premiere on October 16, 1942 in New York City, Rodeo represented a unique combination of ballet and Broadway-style dancing. Set to music by Aaron Copland, Rodeo was an instant hit with audiences and its famous “hoe-down” music came to be synonymous with themes of the American southwest. ABT celebrates this milestone work with special anniversary performances during its Fall season at New York City Center October 16-20.

From now until midnight on October 12, ABT Facebook Fans can enter to win this exclusive 70th Anniversary Rodeo prize package.

The Grand Prize will include:
  • 4 tickets to a performance of Rodeo, Saturday, October 20 at 2pm, at New York City Center.
  • 4 tickets for New York Water Taxi’s VIP All-Access Tour.*
  • $200 gift card for the shops and eateries within the South Street Seaport district; www.southstreetseaport.com.
Runner-up prize will include:
  • 2 tickets to a Gala performance of Rodeo, Tuesday, October 16 at 6:30pm, at New York City Center.
  • 4 tickets aboard New York Water Taxi’s Hop-on-Hop off Service
