Garden Blue features choreography by Jessica Lang and interactive sets designed by Sarah Crowner. This unique collaboration is described as “sculptural and lyrical” by DanceTabs’s Marina Harss.
Set to a waltz and four mazurkas by Frédéric Chopin, this classical character pas de deux was created by Jerome Robbins to showcase the technique and artistry of Natalia Makarova and Mikhail Baryshnikov. Other Dances features a series of Polish folk-inspired choreography for two dramatic dancers with world class strength and technique.
A ballet in nine parts, In the Upper Room is one of ABT’s most impressive performances. Tharp’s choreography calls for both raw power and extreme grace. Bold kinetic movements blend with Philip Glass’s propelling score, creating a transcendent experience for both audience and dancers.
