From the ornate salons of Paris to the mysterious wilds of colonial Louisiana, Kenneth MacMillan’s dramatic masterwork weaves an affecting tale of romance, desire and treachery. Set to Massenet’s lush score and inspired by the classic novel Manon Lescaut, this engrossing ballet soars to theatrical heights as the beautiful maiden Manon must choose between the temptations of wealth and the promise of true love.
