American Ballet Theatre will perform Symphonie Concertante on November 3 and 4, as part of New York City Center’s tribute to George Balanchine.

Set to Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante in E flat Major for Violin, Viola, and Orchestra, Symphonie Concertante inspects the interplay between the visual and the auditory. Two principal dancers pair with the solo instruments, creating a beautiful parallelism of simplicity and structure as they weave in and out of the piece with the music.
