Arisu Hirata

Arisu Hirata was born in Osaka, Japan. She began her classical ballet training at the age of six at Jinushi Kaoru Ecole de Ballet, also appearing in many performances with Jinushi Kaoru Ballet Company. Hirata won first place in many major national and international competitions, including a gold medal in the Korea International Ballet Competition in 2019. In 2021, her ensemble placed second in the Youth America Grand Prix Japan and she was offered a full scholarship to The Royal Ballet School. Hirata studied at The Royal Ballet School beginning in February 2021, graduating in July 2022. She performed in The Royal Ballet’s productions of Giselle and The Nutcracker in 2021.

Hirata joined ABT Studio Company in September 2023, where she performed in new ballets by Amy Hall Garner, James Whiteside, and Hope Boykin, , alongside a variety of classical and neoclassical repertoire. She has performed in Alexei Ratmansky’s The Nutcracker with ABT’s main Company.

Hirata joined American Ballet Theatre as an apprentice in 2024.
