Brian Sciarra is the Resident Lighting Designer for ABT II with designs that include Aria, Morning After, Night Before, Veiled Calling, Revelry and Blue Rain. He is also the Resident Lighting Designer for Nutmeg Ballet, Les Ballets Grandiva, as well as designing for Ballet de Monterrey, Chen and Dancers and The Joffrey ensemble dancers. Sciarra is the lighting designer for George Faison’s new musical If This Hat Could Talk, selected tours with the José Limòn Dance Company, as well as ESPN’s daytime sports news program Cold Pizza. Other lighting designs include the new musical The Night of the Hunter that premiered at the New York Musical Theater Festival, the final tour for legendary pianist Victor Borge, as well as concert designs for Jefferson Starship, Donovan, Rockapella and industrial designs for The Sony Building Christmas Windows in New York. His designs have been seen nationally and internationally in such venues at The Metropolitan Opera House and New York City Center in New York, The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden in London and Tetro Malibran, Italy.
