Biography

Originally from Montreal, Yannik Larivée trained at Central Saint-Martins in London. Now based in Toronto, he has worked extensively throughout Canada and Europe. Selected production credits include: Tancredi, Don Giovanni and Renard for the Canadian Opera Company; Wolf’s Court and Monument for the National Ballet of Canada; Dangerous Liaisons, The Odd Couple, Houdini, Amadeus (Critics Circle Award), I Am My Own Wife and Hedda Gabler for Montreal’s Segal Theatre; Castle Nowhere at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden; Simpl and Interiors at the National Arts Centre; Past Perfect, Generous, John & Beatrice and Wild Mouth for Tarragon Theatre; Danza Cuba’s Vida at the Royal Alexandra Theatre, Mirvish Productions; Dreamland for the Royal Swedish Opera; Inês for Queen of Puddings Musical Theatre. The costumes for One of Three (2009) were Larivée’s first for American Ballet Theatre.
