In-Studio ABT Faculty Spotlight Classes

ABT invites you to train with members of ABT’s esteemed faculty at the Company’s 890 Broadway Studios in New York City. Take class with the instructors that teach dancers in the main Company, ABT Studio Company, and the ABT Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School. A new faculty member will be spotlighted each month.

Beginner/Intermediate Ballet

90 minutes | $30

Ideal for those who have some experience but want to refine their skills and deepen their understanding of ballet! This class is designed to build on basic skills while introducing more challenging elements. It is recommended that participants have a basic grasp of ballet fundamentals.

Classes are intended for dancers ages 18 and older. Participants must register in advance; space is limited. No walk-ins will be allowed. Please note, faculty are subject to change.

Born in Miami, Florida, Craig Salstein began his training at the Ballet Academy of Miami at the age of eight. He continued his training with the Miami City Ballet and joined their corps de ballet in 1999.  He previously trained at the ABT Summer Intensive and joined ABT Studio Company in 2000. He joined the corps de ballet in 2002 and was promoted to Soloist in 2007.  He danced with ABT until 2018 and currently serves as a Company Teacher.

Rubén Martín was born in Reus, Spain, and trained at Estudio de Danza de Maria de Avila. After dancing with English National Ballet for four years, he joined San Francisco Ballet as a member of the corps de ballet in 2000. He was promoted to soloist in 2003 and to principal dancer in 2006. In 2014, he became a principal character dancer with San Francisco Ballet, as well as a full-time endowed faculty member at San Francisco Ballet School. He has been a Principal Teacher at the ABT Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School since 2021.

Plan Your Visit

Please plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to your class.

Upon arriving at ABT’s Studios, you will be required to sign in using the building’s Sign-In App. You will be prompted to sign in using your mobile device by scanning the QR code located in the entryway. Each time you arrive at ABT, you must scan the QR code and show the screen on your mobile device to security in order to gain entry.

After checking in, proceed to the 4th floor using either the elevator or Stairwell B. Participants will only be permitted on the 4th floor.
