Dancer’s Best Friend

It’s no secret that at American Ballet Theatre, dog is a dancer’s best friend. In fact, so many photos of ABT dancers with their beloved furry friends have circulated social media that our own hashtag, #DogsOfABT, was created.

 

In honor of National Puppy Day on March 23, we present the best of #DogsOfABT. What a treat!

When we discovered the brilliant pet paintings by Ben Lenovitz, a resident artist at ABT’s neighboring dishware shop Fishs Eddy, we had to share the (puppy) love!  In December, we invited Ben to paint our dancers in Company class and create custom portraits of their pups! Here are some snapshots from the day:
