Audience Programs

Master Classes

American Ballet Theatre is pleased to offer school groups and studios Master Class opportunities at ABT’s 890 Broadway studios. Classes can range from 15-40 students.

These 90-minute classes can be arranged for students of all abilities and ages, with each class led by an ABT Certified faculty member. Every class will be taught by either a former ABT dancer or a faculty member from the ABT Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School. All teachers are certified in ABT’s National Training Curriculum. Please note that all Master Classes are subject to studio and faculty availability.

Master Classes may be purchased in conjunction with group sale orders for American Ballet Theatre performances during the Metropolitan Opera House or David H. Koch Theater seasons.

If the Master Class is purchased along with a group sale, the teacher will introduce and include concepts, themes and movement vocabulary to help prepare them for the ABT performance they will attend.

Works and Process at the Guggenheim

For 20 years, American Ballet Theatre has pulled back the curtain and provided audiences with the opportunity to hear choreographers, designers and dancers share their creative process through discussion and performance.

Held in the Guggenheim’s intimate Peter B. Lewis Theater, audiences receive unprecedented access to the Company prior to ABT’s New York engagements.

New York City Center Studio 5

This studio series—featuring a first-time partnership with American Ballet Theatre—takes audiences beyond the proscenium for intimate conversations and live performance excerpts from the great dance artists of today.
