National Training Curriculum

In May 2006, the United States Congress officially acknowledged American Ballet Theatre as America’s National Ballet Company® and with this honor, ABT committed to taking a leadership role in dance training both in the United States and globally. We created the ABT National Training Curriculum: a program that incorporates elements of classical ballet training with scientific principles.

For the first time, teachers can access exclusive Teacher Training and Raising the Barre footage online.

ABT created the Teacher Training Intensives and Raising the Barre Weekend Workshops so that ballet teachers can receive a holistic education in ABT’s National Training Curriculum and more. Now, select workshops and classes are available exclusively online, commercial free.
