Adult Ballet Classes

In-Studio and Virtual Classes

We invite you to train with ABT alumni and members of ABT’s esteemed faculty at the Company’s 890 Broadway Studios in New York City or online from the comfort of your home.  Take class with the instructors that teach dancers in the main Company, ABT Studio Company, and the ABT Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School. All in-person classes are accompanied by live music.

Open Adult Ballet Class

90 minutes | $27.50 per class; $125 for 5 classes

Ideal for those who have some experience but want to refine their skills and deepen their understanding of ballet! This class is designed to build on basic skills while introducing more challenging elements. It is recommended that participants have a basic grasp of ballet fundamentals.

Open Adult Strength and Body Conditioning Class

45 minutes | $20 per class

This class will blend cardio and bodyweight exercises to provide a holistic workout experience, inspired by ballet dancers/fitness professionals and perfect for all.  This class aims to engage the entire body with a strong focus on ensuring balance, flexibility, endurance, overall health and well-being.

 

Register

Classes are intended for dancers ages 18 and older. Participants must register in advance; space is limited. Please note, faculty are subject to change.

Discounts are available for professional dancers, seniors (ages 65+) and students.  Please use the application below to request a discount.

Plan Your Visit

Please plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to your class. Changing rooms are available.

Upon arriving at ABT’s Studios, you will be required to sign in using the building’s Sign-In App. You will be prompted to sign in using your mobile device by scanning the QR code located in the entryway. Each time you arrive at ABT, you must scan the QR code and show the screen on your mobile device to security in order to gain entry.

After checking in, proceed to the 4th floor using either the elevator or Stairwell B. Participants will only be permitted on the 4th floor.

Virtual Classes

Beginner/Intermediate Ballet

90 minutes | $15 per class; $80 for 6 classes

Ideal for those who have some experience but want to refine their skills and deepen their understanding of ballet! This class is designed to build on basic skills while introducing more challenging elements. It is recommended that participants have a basic grasp of ballet fundamentals and are eager to progress to the next level.

Classes are intended for dancers ages 18 and older. Please note, faculty are subject to change.

Register

All classes will take place on Zoom and class times are listed in the Eastern Time Zone (New York).

You will be prompted to create a profile in order to access registration.  Zoom information will be emailed to registered participants 30 minutes prior to the start of the class. Class fees must be paid at the time of purchase.  There are no refunds, returns or exchanges on registrations.

Professional, Senior & Student Discounts

ABT Masters Series

The ABT Masters Series is a daylong immersive experience for ballet fans to study one of ABT’s seminal classical works.

The day includes body conditioning and technique classes and a 90-minute repertoire workshop. All participants will receive an Orchestra ticket for that evening’s performance at Lincoln Center and the opportunity to attend a pre-performance talk.

All workshops, classes, and meet the artist talks are led by ABT Artistic staff members, ABT Training faculty, or notable ABT alumni.

The ABT Masters Series is intended for dancers ages 20 and older.
