Jane Burn entered The Royal Ballet School in 1986 and graduated with distinction in 1991 and, in the same year, joined The Royal Ballet. She was promoted to Soloist in 1993 and Senior Soloist in 2000. Her roles with the company included principal roles in Kenneth MacMillan’s Mayerling. Lise in Frederick Ashton’s La Fille mal gardée, Swanilda in Coppélia and a leading role in Rhapsody. Burn worked with the Royal Opera House Press Department for six months in 2001, as well as Assistant Repetiteur to Ballet Boyz Sadler’s Wells performances in London in 2003 and as Choreographer’s Assistant to Christopher Wheeldon on his Swan Lake for the Pennsylvania Ballet in 2004. She is currently an Artist in Residence at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden.
Burn was a prize winner at the Prix de Lausanne in 1991.
