Kate Besong

Kate Besong is a physical therapist with ABT Studio Company and the ABT Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School. Besong has her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Wilmington College, her Master of Science in Kinesiology from Indiana University, and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Hunter College. In her youth, Besong spent 15 years dancing competitively in Cincinnati, Ohio, which sparked her love for performing arts medicine. She has been practicing physical therapy for over ten years and has completed extensive continuing education for manual therapy and movement facilitation techniques. Besong has worked with actors, musicians, and dancers at a variety of training levels, ranging from recreational to collegiate to professional. She is passionate about teaching performing artists how to holistically sustain their health and wellbeing to ensure the longevity of their career.
