ABT ANNOUNCES FAMILY TICKET OFFER

$11 Tickets Available to 2007 NY City Center Season,
October 23 to November 4

American Ballet Theatre, with the support of the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, will offer $11 tickets to families for the Company’s 2007 Fall Season at New York City Center, October 23 to November 4.

ABT’s Family Ticket offer is available to families with children, 17 years of age and under, for a maximum of four tickets per family. $11 tickets include rear mezzanine seating for all performances except opening night, subject to availability. Adults must be accompanied by a child to be eligible for this offer.

“We’re especially proud to bring this ticket offer to families in the metropolitan area,” said Rachel Moore, ABT Executive Director. “By offering ballet performances for the same price as a movie, we hope we can encourage families to attend the theatre on a regular basis and develop a long-lasting appreciation for ballet and for the arts.”

American Ballet Theatre’s Fall Season at NY City Center features the World Premiere of From Here On Out by Benjamin Millepied and a new ballet by Jorma Elo, set to Philip Glass’ A Musical Portrait of Chuck Close. Season highlights include the Company Premieres of George Balanchine’s Ballo della Regina and Twyla Tharp’s Baker’s Dozen, revivals of Antony Tudor’s The Leaves Are Fading and Agnes de Mille’s Fall River Legend and returning repertory classics of Jerome Robbins’ Fancy Free and Twyla Tharp’s Sinatra Suite.

Tickets can be purchased online at nycitycenter.org, by telephone by calling CityTix at 212-581-1212 or at the City Center Box Office, West 55th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues.
