ABT Celebrates Alexei Ratmansky's Firebird at Firebird Restaurant
Famed New York City Russian Eatery Pays Homage to New York Premiere of ABT's New Production of the Stravinsky Classic, Firebird with ABT Three-Course Prix-Fixe Menu
To celebrate American Ballet Theatre’s New York Premiere of Alexei Ratmansky’s Firebird, New York City’s only pre-revolutionary Russian restaurant, FireBird, will honor its namesake ballet with a special ABT three-course prix-fixe menu available during the “Firebird” month of June.
FireBird Restaurant, located on Manhattan’s Restaurant Row, has created a special ABT prix- fixe menu for $44.95 in homage to the ballet’s New York Premiere. The three-course menu, available for $39.95* to ABT ticket-holders of the Met 2012 season, will include the restaurant’s top Russian specialties including Beef Stroganoff and Lobster Versasia.
Choreographed by ABT Artist in Residence Alexei Ratmansky, Firebird is set to Igor Stravinsky’s incomparable score and features sets and costumes by notable Russian designers Galina Solovyeva and Simon Pastukh. Firebird tells the magical fairy tale of the legendary creature who helps two noble lovers overcome an evil sorcerer. American Ballet Theatre brings this acclaimed production to the Metropolitan Opera House for eight performances only, June 11-13 and June 21-23.
