One-hour Performance to Feature Family-Friendly Excerpts from ABT's Fall Season

ABTKids, an hour-long program of family friendly excerpts from American Ballet Theatre’s repertory, is scheduled for Saturday, November 1 at 11:30am at City Center. Recommended for children between the ages of 4 and 12, the program promotes a better understanding of ballet and contemporary dance.

Hosted by ABT’s artistic staff, ABTKids will feature selections from the Company’s Fall season at City Center, including Jiri Kylian’s Victorian era farce Sechs T√§nze, George Balanchine’s neo-classical Theme and Variations, Agnes de Mille’s comic tale of temptation Three Virgins and a Devil and a classical pas deux.

Ticket holders for ABTKids are eligible to purchase tickets for the ABTKids Pre-performance workshop on November 1 at 10:00am at City Center’s 56th Street studios. Directed by ABT’s teaching artists, children are divided by age and invited to participate in activities including basic ballet movement and arts and crafts. Tickets for the workshop are $20 for both children and adults and are available only through ABT’s education office at 212-419-4321.
