AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE STUDIO COMPANY TO TOUR NORTHERN IRELAND AND GREATER LONDON, MARCH 21 - 29

American Ballet Theatre’s Studio Company will make its United Kingdom debut with two performances in Belfast, Ireland on March 21 and 22, and one performance in Woking, England on March 24. The tour will conclude with three performances at the Linbury Studio Theatre at Covent Garden in London on March 28 and 29, the culmination of an exchange between the ABT Studio Company and The Royal Ballet School.

In Belfast, the ABT Studio Company’s performances at the Waterfront Centre are part of the Earthquake Festival of International Dance presented by Dance Northern Ireland. In Woking, the ABT Studio Company will appear at the New Victoria Theatre as part of the Woking Dance Festival.

Repertory for performances in both Belfast and Woking will include The Long and Winding Road by Stanton Welch, Return to a Strange LandLost Language of the Flight Attendant by Brian Reeder.

At Covent Garden’s Linbury Studio Theatre, the ABT Studio Company will perform The Long and Winding Road and Lost Language of the Flight Attendant, as well as Antony Tudor’s Continuo and a new work by Robert Hill. These performances are reciprocal to The Royal Ballet School’s appearances at New York’s Kaye Playhouse in February 2003. The ABT Studio Company/Royal Ballet School exchange is generously funded by Allied Heatlhcare and ABT Trustees Patricia Hagan and Ricki Gail Conway.
