Delfina Nelson-Todd was born in San Francisco, California, and was raised in Bend, Oregon, and Boulder, Colorado. She began dance classes at age three and joined Central Oregon School of Ballet at age five. Upon moving to Colorado, Nelson-Todd attended Boulder Ballet School under the direction of Ana Claire. She continued her training at Colorado Ballet Academy, where she studied with Academy Director Erica Fischbach in the pre-professional division. In 2023, she moved to New York City to attend the American Ballet Theatre Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School. Her training also includes summer intensives at ABT, the School of American Ballet, and Kaatsbaan Cultural Park.

Nelson-Todd joined ABT Studio Company in September 2025, where her repertoire included Christopher Wheeldon’s An American in Paris pas de deux, Alexei Ratmansky’s Bernstein in a Bubble, Brady Farrar’s Cerulean Skies, Jerome Robbins’s Interplay, and the pas d’action from La Bayadère. As a student, Nelson-Todd appeared alongside ABT at the Metropolitan Opera House in its productions of Romeo and Juliet and Sylvia. In 2025, she performed with the main Company in Alexei Ratmansky’s The Nutcracker.
