Lesley Garrison

Biography

Lesley Garrison is a dancer and teacher who performed with the Mark Morris Dance Group for 15 years. She grew up in Swansea, Illinois, and trained at Center of Creative Arts in St. Louis, Missouri, and Interlochen Arts Academy in Interlochen, Michigan. She studied at the Rotterdamse Dansacademie in The Netherlands and received a B.F.A. from Purchase College. Garrison is fully certified in mat and equipment Pilates through the Kane School of Core Integration and completed a 200-hour teacher training and Restorative/Prenatal certification with Yoga Vida. She currently continues her studies with Clarice Marshall. Garrison has also taught in the renowned Dance for PD® program since 2011. Her choreography has been presented at the Mark Morris Dance Center, SUNY Purchase, Ailey Fordham, the Freer Gallery of Art and Arthur M. Sackler Gallery, at the Smithsonian Institution, and the Elsinore Theatre in Salem, OR. Garrison is honored to be teaching the talented dancers at the ABT Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School.
