Nicholas Phillips

Biography

At 22 years old, Phillips was recently featured as the youngest of Lighting Dimensions Magazine’s “ten young professionals shaping the lighting industry.”  He has worked with Broadway designers Ken Billington, Jason Kantrowitz and Paul Gallo, as well as Houston Ballet’s Christina Giannelli.

Phillips dance credits include world premieres at Houston Ballet, Washington Ballet, Ballet Memphis, Dominic Walsh Dance Theater and Suchu Dance.  He lit the national tour of Michael Baisden’s Men Cry in the Dark and the regional premiere of the new Gregg Coffin musical Convenience.  He has designed for Channel One News in Los Angeles and created the projections for the Shell Oil Company’s National Wholesalers Convention and Trade Show, as well as the Houston Rockets’ inaugural home season opener at the new Toyota Center.
