Rodica Bordeianu

Rodica Gabriela Bordeianu was born in the Republic of Moldova and graduated Summa Cum Laude from the National Ballet Academy of Moldova. Bordeianu was a principal dancer with the renown Moldovan National State Ensemble and toured extensively around the world. After moving to the United States, she continued to dance professionally and teach master classes in the United States, Europe, Canada, and South America. She holds an M.A. degree in Teaching Dance in Higher Education/ABT Pedagogy from New York University and is certified to teach levels Primary through 7 in ABT’s National Training Curriculum. Bordeianu has taught classical dance and character dance at the American Ballet Theatre Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School, and has been on the faculty for the Young Dancer Summer Workshop, ABT Summer Intensive, ABT Studio Company and Project Plié Bridge class. In her classes Bordeianu emphasizes both the technical aspects and the individual artistry of each student. She hopes to inspire her students to love and to appreciate the art of dance.
