Vince Pelegrin was born and raised in Manila, Philippines. He began studying dance at the age of eight at Steps Dance Studio in Makati, Philippines, under the direction of Sofia Elizalde. At age 16, he moved to New York City and was awarded a full scholarship to the American Ballet Theatre Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School, under the direction of Cynthia Harvey. He graduated from the ABT JKO School in 2022 and attended Kaatsbaan Summer Festival and the ABT New York Summer Intensive on full scholarship.
Pelegrin joined ABT Studio Company in September 2022 where he created roles in ballets by Gemma Bond and Amy Hall Garner and performed in new ballets by Hope Boykin, Emily Kikta, Houston Thomas, Lauren Lovette, Jamar Roberts, James Whiteside, and Brady Farrar alongside a variety of classical and neoclassical repertoire. He has performed in Alexei Ratmansky’s The Nutcracker with ABT’s main Company.
Pelegrin joined American Ballet Theatre as an apprentice in 2024.
