In 1940 New York City, a new ballet company billed itself as "America's
First Ballet theatre Staged by the Greatest Collaboration in Ballet
History." Since that night, more than one thousand of the greatest
dancers in the world have performed upon the stages of American
Ballet Theatre in scores of cities across the globe. Now, celebrating
70 years of glorious moments in classical dance, ABT unveils a dazzling
showcase this spring at the Met of the Company's wide-range repertoire,
from the great full-length ballets to a mixed repertory festival
of one-act treasures from master choreographers. Discover ABT's
