As the global health crisis made it impossible for our 80th Anniversary season at The Metropolitan Opera House to continue as planned, American Ballet Theatre OffStage: A 2020 Virtual Season brought artistry of ABT into homes everywhere.
Giselle is the epitome of Romantic ballet with “transcendently lovely pure dance” (Chicago Sun-Times). This heartrending tale of deceit, remorse and forgiveness is a perfect fusion of music, movement and drama. Explore the Giselle program, including a farewell to ABT legend Stella Abrera, a conversation in tribute to Alicia Alonso, and an ABT Met Memory feature with former ABT Principal Dancer Paloma Herrera.
