See the next generation of ballet talent! American Ballet Theatre Studio Company presents a richly varied program of newly commissioned works alongside classical and neoclassical selections. Repertoire includes the New York City premieres of original choreography by Gemma Bond, Hope Boykin, Houston Thomas, and Aleisha Walker; a solo by Daniel Ulbricht; such favorites as George Balanchine’s Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux, Kenneth MacMillan’s Concerto pas de deux, and Vasily Vainonen’s Flames of Paris; and a suite from Marius Petipa’s Raymonda. ABT Studio Company is joined by special guest Cecile Licad, who will accompany several ballets live on piano and perform excerpts from Frédéric Chopin’s Étude Op. 25.

American Ballet Theatre Studio Company seeks to develop the next generation of ballet dancers, choreographers, and audiences.
The central mission of ABT Studio Company is to prepare its dancers of exceptional potential (ages 17-21) for careers in American Ballet Theatre’s main Company or other leading ballet companies worldwide. ABT Studio Company serves as the crucial vehicle for transitioning from student to professional performer. Nearly 80% of current American Ballet Theatre dancers are alumni of ABT Studio Company, including twelve Principal Dancers and seven Soloists.
Each season, ABT Studio Company commissions emerging and/or established choreographers to create new works on Studio Company dancers, serving as a platform for new choreography.
ABT Studio Company engages the broadest possible ballet audience by performing classical, neoclassical, and contemporary repertoire in a range of venues around the globe.
