Rodeo, Agnes de Mille’s humorous love story about a tomboyish cowgirl in the pioneer West, is an American classic. This audience favorite is set to Copland’s spirited score, including the famed “Hoedown,” and features costume designs by Tony Award® winner Santo Loquasto. Blending ballet with elements of American folk dance, the choreography vividly captures the spirit and landscape of the West. Its blend of humor, romance, and Americana continues to resonate with audiences across generations.

Le Grand Pas de Deux is a witty and playful parody of classical ballet’s grand pas de deux tradition. With exaggerated poses, humorous timing, and cheeky interactions, the piece turns ballet’s formal conventions on their head. It is a clever and lighthearted celebration of technique and theatricality, full of charm and unexpected surprises.

One of Frederick Ashton’s final and most challenging works, Rhapsody pas de deux was created in 1980 for The Royal Ballet. Choreographed for Mikhail Baryshnikov and Lesley Collier, this pas de deux is dazzling in its expansive lyricism and emotional sweep. Set to Sergei Rachmaninoff’s beloved soaring score, “Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini,” this ballet shows Ashton at his most masterful.
