The next generation of ABT choreographers draw inspiration from the greats of dance, while inviting us to unplug, find balance, and connect with the art and each other.
Following its World Premiere at Vail Dance Festival in July 2019, James Whiteside’s New American Romance offers a progressive take on classical ballet. Whiteside’s new work pays homage to romantic ballet by injecting it with the social relevance of modern love.
Garden Blue features choreography by Jessica Lang and interactive sets designed by Sarah Crowner. This unique collaboration is described as “sculptural and lyrical” by DanceTabs’s Marina Harss.
In her first work for American Ballet Theatre, Gemma Bond creates a new work on her colleagues featuring music by Benjamin Britten. Inspired by English folk tunes, the ballet highlights the strength and beauty of ABT’s artists.
