Born in San Diego, California, Scout Forsythe began her ballet training at the age of eleven at the Performing Arts Workshop Encinitas. In 2009, she continued her training in San Diego under the direction of Maxim Tchernychev, while performing with the San Diego Ballet Company.
Forsythe participated in numerous competitions including the Youth American Grand Prix for three consecutive years where she earned several first place awards in both contemporary and classical divisions. She was also a participant in the 2013 IBC Moscow competition. Forsythe received a full scholarship to join the ABT Studio Company in 2013. She attended ABT’s New York summer intensive in 2013 as a National Training Scholar. Forsythe’s repertory with the ABT Studio Company includes roles in Great Galloping Gottschalk, Continuo and Raymonda Pas de Sept.
She joined American Ballet Theatre as an apprentice in 2014 and became a member of the corps de ballet in January 2015.
